Ray of Hope Nigeria Puts a Smile on Thousands of Children’s Faces in Nigeria

I am so inspired by the kindness some people show to the less privileged and especially when it has to do with children, hence my sharing this with you.
Here is what the founder of ‘Ray of Hope Nigeria ‘had to say,
“When you look into the eyes of a child born in many impoverished areas in Nigeria, it is impossible to know their pain. These children are brought into a world of pain and suffering. Basic amenities like water, food, clothing and shelter pose a great challenge. They are condemned to suffering simply because their parents cannot afford to supply their basic needs. Some may not survive!
We see images of suffering on the television but many people have not witnessed it firsthand. My partner and I have had the opportunity to visit various impoverished areas in Lagos. The suffering we witnessed amongst children of all age groups broke our hearts, knowing they may suffer their entire lives. We decided to gather a few of our family members and friends together to visit some of these areas and show them love in the little ways we could. That is how Ray of Hope Foundation Nigeria was formed in 2013.
Since then, we have:
- Provided about 2,000 children around Lagos with clothing, food, water, drinks, slippers, fun activities and learning aids.
 - Recruited more than 30 volunteers who donate their time, money and talent.
We visit at least one impoverished area in a month. In December, we visited Oworonshoki, February - Makoko (the sheds you see by the water from third mainland bridge in Lagos), March - Obalende, April - Ekiti. We strive to expand our programs and offerings to children in these communities (Food, Shelter, Clothing and Healthcare). It is our mission to ensure that every child has at least the basic needs to survive. In order to meet our mission and provide services in these communities, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals, we would not be able to serve children in these communities”

Everyone the Ray of Hope Nigeria next visit will be the 25th of May, although they are yet to finalise a location. If you want to show your support to the Ray of Hope Charity please send an email to victor_taiwo@hotmail.co.uk  for those in the UK and to hilarie@hotmail.co.uk  for those in Nigeria.
