#Bring Back Our Girls!!

You would remember over 200 girls were kidnapped over two weeks ago and recently I just got the news that they have been taken across the borders, some to Cameroon and Chad, although this report has not yet being confirmed and parents said their children are being sold for 2000 naira!

Please let the Nigerian government act and put a stop to these horrific occurrences and tighten up their securities and that of the safety of our nation. I cannot help but feel the pain of these mothers and fathers crying out for mercy. We were just dealing with the massive explosion in Abuja and now this!

The Fox news also reported  “the failure to rescue the girls is a massive embarrassment to Nigeria's government and the military, already confronted by mounting criticism over its apparent inability to curb the 5-year-old Islamic uprising despite having draconian powers through an 11-month state of emergency..”.

I am earnestly praying the issue of boko haram will be a thing of the past in Nigeria.

200 Girls Kidnapped Are Still missing in Nigeria!

This has been a burning issue on my mind ever since the incident occurred. A number of girls have been kidnapped from Chibok boarding school over two weeks now from Borno State Secondary School in Nigeria. Even though a statement was initially released that all were found except from eight girls. Apparently, this is not the case! The exact number is said to be 200 from my findings and sources. Thankfully, thirty girls managed to escape this horrific incident and while some are still missing in the forest.

It's such a sad news, because mothers and fathers are desperate and are pleading to the Nigeria government in searching for the whereabouts of these innocent girls or whoever is responsible should please have mercy and release them. Families who have been hunting for the missing school girls said they met no single Nigerian military in the forest. However, the army has been out rightly condemned for reporting earlier on that most of the teens had been found. Here is what one of the mothers had to say, “I have not seen my dear daughter, she is a good girl”, cried Musa Muka, whose 17-yearold Martha was taken away.

Please I beg you to sign this quick petition for government to start a real search check and not just sweep this under the carpet! Here is a the link I found on the change.org website http://www.change.org/petitions/over-200-girls-are-missing-in-nigeria-so-why-doesn-t-anybody-care-234girls

Let us not forget to say a prayer for these girls and hope that they are found. Gosh! This really breaks my heart; I sincerely hope they are released. I plead with the government to help rescue them. I honestly pray this won’t end just like that, PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION!!

So You want to get Married! Why?

I am going to be doing a series on 'So you want to get Married' and here is an introduction.

Firstly, I am not here to lay down rules or dos and don’ts but to share my thoughts about why should we really go into this institution called marriage and probably think very well before we embark on this blissful journey created by God. Indeed marriage is a beautiful thing!

Now, can we pray enough before getting married to this person to make sure he or she is the right person? Do I love him or her enough to get married and knowing that love is really not enough to a lasting marriage. Also the most famous remark people always say; I heard from God that he or she is 'The One'. Was it really God? Now bearing in mind a lot of people have said that they heard from God that this person is their spouse and still ended up in divorce. Does this mean God is liar? (God forbid because His words clearly states God is not a Human that he should lie in Numbers 23:19) or people just hear what they Want to hear. Possibly they actually heard from God! So what happened?

This is a very important question that everyone should ponder about with regards to "why do I want to get married". Is it just okay to be in love with each other! Is love more than enough? What about finances? Is the person buoyant enough to look after me? How much money really should either party be worth? Should I get married for the sake of companionship or so I can be free from my parents. Or to be counted amongst the married couples or you want someone to make you happy because it’s getting really boring been alone? Or maybe you've always wanted a big fancy wedding? Or it’s the age factor, because all your friends in your inner circle are married.

Are you getting married to this person solely because you are pregnant or been pressured too. Why should we really get married? Lastly but the list is not exhausted, are you getting married because you are pregnant or you believe you are ready to settle down? Or should I even get married at all? Better still, It could just be for my immigration status.

This is such a huge topic and I would love to hear your opinions, your thoughts about what you think. Whether, you are already married or not, divorce or in a relationship. Why do you want to or did you get married? Am eager to hear your opinions, please share your views and thoughts with me and others. In my next series I will be discussing my opinion and I would also be sharing professional and experts opinions on the subject matter. Until then I look forward to hearing from you. All opinions are welcome! Like I said I am here to learn from you too.
