 BROKENNESS

To the world (the creation) your state of unworthiness and brokenness is an appalling weakness but to God (the creator) it’s an appealing meekness. The past, present or history that left you broken and unworthy will usher you into the presence and grace of God.

We all have been broken at some point in our lives and probably still broken or going through a broken marriage or a broken relationship and maybe you are struggling with your health or possibly heartbroken or grieving.

In any of these cases, while there is pain, depression and grief in brokenness, there is also healing. It gives birth to a new dimension of light, a new hope, a new confidence and faith because the potter cannot work on you until you are soft enough to be remoulded, which is God’s ability who is the Master Potter to change an appearance, a structure and a character. When we are broken in spirit, we come into a place where God can mould us and shape us into what He wants us to be.

Psalm 51:1 (King James Version)
The sacrifice of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart, O God,
thou wilt not despise.
